The Cocoa Tango Extravaganza was an intimate affair. (The rest of these photos were taken by Karen Barnes)

The Cocoa and Orlando dance communities are small but devoted!

There where a lot of great dancers here. The woman on the far left heard us play in Allentown, PA this past summer and wanted to come dance to us again (she lives somewhere in Florida). She's dancing with Van Stickle of “tangococoa.com”. Van is a great dancer, a good buy, and the organizer of the extravaganza

A shapely leg with sexy footwear. Before you accuse me of having some sort of foot fetish, let it be known that my wife took this picture

You can see DJ Hector of “tangoenorlando.com” in the back. 3 Orlando guys came in black suits with matching red hats and ties.

Scott likes to have a microphone and a pickup. He also wears suspenders with a belt.

While I gave classes on tango history and musicality, my family and the band took a 3 hour cruise. l to r: Rahn, Scott, Xavier, Lily, Big Mary, Laura

My Mom really likes pelicans, so here's a picture of one.

The “Rocket Garden” at the Kenedy Space Center. I think “Rocket Garden” would be a good album title.

After the band flew back to Mpls to play our regular Sunday night gig, I took my family to the Kenedy Space Flight Center. There were aligators everywhere.

My family went to BLue Spring State Park in Deland, FL. It is a warm spring that attracts wintering manatees like the rest of florida attracts senior citizens. You can stand by a railing and see dozens of these gentle giants floating by

My kid's favorite part of the trip (since I refused to take them to Disney!) was the “Showcase of Citrus” in Clearmont, FL. It is a “pick your own” citrus grove with oranges, tangerines, tangelos, grapefruit, kumquats, honeybells, pumelos and limes. The smell was incredible! The fruit was amazing. So much sweeter and juicier than store-bought.

Belive it or not, the Citrus Grove had a “Monster Truck Eco-Tour”. We could not wrap our head arround that thought, so we didn't take the tour. Xavier, however, loves monster trucks. He is embarassed by the tiny Honda Civic that I drive.

Some of the bounty that we brought back to Minneapolis with us.

Lily may become our newest member.

For some reason, we're thinking of namining our new album “Anteater”. Here are my kids on a bronze anteater at the National Zoo in Washington, DC.
